Bulletproof Coffee

I am sure some of you guys had heard of Bulletproof coffee or Whole Foods calls it “Mammoth or Caveman Coffee.”  It was once a huge diet fad because replacing breakfast with this will suppress hunger for 6-8 hours and will give you high energy.  If you also drink it every day it “supposedly” will help you lose a few pounds.  I am not sure if that losing weight thing is true because I had never tried it as a diet.  However, I know it will give you lots of energy once taken in the morning and yes, I didn’t feel hungry for few hours.

I am just sharing this coffee recipe because it is very yummy.  It taste like a creamy latte because of the butter and the coconut oil.  You do not need to add any milk or sweeteners.

Now the type of butter and coconut oil you will need to use on this recipe has to be the highest quality you can find. For the butter, it has to be the grass-fed butter for its high-quality fats and nutrients so preferably Kerry Gold Grass-Fed butter brand.  With the coconut oil, you may use any high-quality organic ones.

I believe, this is not something we should drink everyday because we still want to eat regular healthy breakfast such as real organic fruits and proteins.  This is more of a luxury coffee in the morning and if you do not have time to make breakfast.

Ingredients:

  • 1-2 Tbsp Kerry Gold Grass-Fed Butter (preferably unsalted)
  • 1-2 Tbsp Organic Coconut Oil
  • 1 cup freshly brewed coffee (I prefer light roast)

Instructions:

  1. Blend all the ingredients for 30-40 seconds
  2. Enjoy

Tips:

  • You may start with 1 Tbsp of butter and coconut oil to see how you like it first.  The more you put, the creamier it is.
