Hubster, family and friends loves my spaghetti… at least that’s what they tell me…hahaha. My version is a bit different because I always add sliced hotdogs or sausages in them…hahahaha and I love it. Believe me, it’s okay to mix in hotdogs hahaha.
Ingredients:
- 2 lbs. 90% lean grassfed ground beef
- 2 bottles of any flavored pasta sauce
- 3-4 tomatoes, diced
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 Tbsp chopped fresh garlic
- 8-10 pcs sliced white mushrooms
- 1 Tbsp of dried oregano, basil & rosemary
- 1 Tbsp garlic powder
- 1 Tbsp onion powder
- 1 Tbsp pepper
- 1 Tbsp salt
- 2 Tbsp of brown sugar
- 3 Tbsp of worcestershire sauce
- 1 small can of tomato paste
- 1/2 cup (or 1 cup) of any red wine
- 1 package of uncured chicken hotdogs (OR italian sausage, turkey hotdogs)
Intstructions:
- In a pot, saute the garlic, onions & tomatoes
- Add in ground meat, salt & pepper, mix & cover the pot for about 3 minutes
- Add in hotdogs
- Mix in tomato paste
- Mix in worcestershire sauce
- Add in mushrooms & cover the pot for about 3 minutes
- Mix in all the spices (dried oregano, basil, rosemary, garlic & onion powder)
- Mix in wine
- Pour wine in your wine glass too & start singing
- Mix in 2 bottles pasta sauce
- Cover for 5 minutes
- Mix in sugar (taste the sauce and adjust to your liking)
- Cover & let it boil for 6-8 minutes
- Serve over spaghetti noodles with sliced cheese or garlic bread & a glass of wine
